Sediment: Pebble Counts in San Anselmo and Ross Creeks 1999 |
|
Caption: The Chart shows the cumulative size distribution of bed surface particles in Upper San Anselmo Creek in fall, 1999. The median particle size (D50) for samples were between 30 mm and slightly larger than 40 mm. Selected bed surface particles were measured for each sample using the 'pebble count' method (Wolman, 1954) as a way to determine bed roughness for the sediment model. Data provided by Stetson Engineers. See Info Links for more information.
