This area is under tidal influence and serves as a migration corridor for steelhead trout. However, due to the absence of structure and protective cover, as well as a poorly functioning fish ladder upstream, emigrating steelhead may be prone to predation by birds (Rich, 2000). Photo taken by A.A. Rich and Associates in 1999.
Temperature monitoring was conducted at the beginning of the concrete channel seen in the previous picture by A. A. Rich and Associates using a thermograph during April through September 1999. The temperature site number was CMC-1b. Photo taken in 1999 by A.A. Rich and Associates.
This picture shows habitat typing site CM-02 in mainstem Corte Madera Creek, which contains a lateral scour pool, with an average depth of 0.35 meters, associated with bank cut and rip-rap. The people shown are electrofishing using block nets. Photo taken and habitat typing conducted by A.A. Rich and Associates in 1999.
