Caption: This chart shows the scour pool frequency per 100 meters, not scaled for stream width, which were collected as part of the Battle Creek WA (Terraqua, 2004) at South Fork Battle Creek sites. Scour pools are those formed by stream meanders and not "forced" by large wood. Pool frequency is low, with fewer than 2 pools per 100 m found at most sites. All sites are in response reaches, which are subject to pool filling, if there is a sediment over-supply (Montgomery and Buffington, 1993). Abbreviations are ds = downstream and ab = above.
