Sediment: Matthews Landslides Volume Delivered in Little NF 1921-2000 |
|
Caption: The chart above shows Matthews and Associates (2001) total computed sediment delivery quantities for the Little North Fork Big River sub-basin per analysis period. Estimates are generated from aerial photographs. The largest landslide sediment contributions appear to have occurred during the 1937-1952 period. Matthews and Associates (2001) note, the actual number of slides in the 1921-1936 period is likely an underestimate, since 1936 aerial photo coverage was unavailable for the eastern half of the watershed.
