Caption: Water temperatures in East Branch North Fork Big River (Site 751) in 1997 peaked at 21.4 degrees C in late July and early August. The optimal water temperature for salmonid growth (10-15 degrees C) was exceeded for all of summer, even by the minimum for some periods. The maximum diurnal temperature shift was approximately 5 degrees Celsius and the seasonal flux was just under 10 degrees C. Click on Info Links for more information.
