Sediment: Gravel Permeability from Daugherty Creek 2000 |
|
Caption: This chart illustrates that gravel permeability in the year 2000 in Daugherty Creek was very low and led to low predicted survival indices suggesting poor habitat quality in this stream segment. Even the best tail-out sites have predicted survival indices of less than 30%. High permeability indicates favorable conditions for incubating salmon eggs and alevins. The red markers display estimated index values for percent egg-to-fry survival. This calculated index for survival has had very limited testing. Data from Mendocino Redwood Company. Individual measurements from each grid location were averaged and used as independent data points for this summary. See Info Links for more information.
