Fish: Mill Cr Downstream Trap Results 1995 |

    |
Caption:  The chart above shows the raw catch downstream migrant trap results for Mill Creek for the spring and summer of 1995. Trapping commenced on 2/22/95 and ran through 7/14/95 and sampling took place on 58 days. Trapping was substantially hampered by high flows and two traps were operated only late in the season. Side-by-side fyke nets are deployed in years when flows allow in order to capture more of the stream flow. Results above reflect the total of both traps. Steelhead young of the year (<70 mm) dominated the sample and the number of Chinook juvenile and older age steelhead trapped was very low. The later could be as a result of trap avoidance. Coho were more numerous with a total of 77 than older age steelhead. AMMOC is ammocoetes or Pacific lamprey larvae. The data were collected by the Hoopa Tribal Fisheries Department. See the Source Table for complete records including flow, water temperature and hours trapped.
