   Caption:  Maximum daily water temperatures of the Klamath River at several locations during 1996 are displayed above. Iron Gate maximum temperatures are cooler than downstream locations but still exceeded stressful for salmonids (>20C) from June to mid-September. The maximum water temperatures above the Salmon River were sometimes highest, but the Klamath River just below the Shasta was the warmest for most of the month of August. Data provided by the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board.
