| Caption: The Chart above shows the number of hours in the week that water temperatures exceeded stressful levels for salmon and steelhead on the Klamath River just below the confluence with the Scott River in 1996. The stressful limit for juvenile salmonids used is 20 degrees C (68 F). The week of the year is displayed as the X axis (30 = 30th week = 3rd week in July). Water temperatures were chronically stressful when the temperature sensor was deployed in the third week in July of 1996 and remained at least partially stressful through the second week in September in 1996.
