Caption: Electrofishing of the Mattole River and its tributaries was carried out at 24 stations in 1972. The overall stacked bars represent the total number of salmonids per square yard. Relative densities of steelhead young of the year, steelhead yearlings and older, and coho salmon are shown by color. The highest fish densities were in Mattole Canyon Creek, with the North Fork upstream of Petrolia and McKee Creek having the next highest range of values. See Info Links for more information.
