Topic	Habitat: Stream Survey Length and Stream Order for Southern Tribs

 

Caption:  The California Department of Fish and Game surveyed streams in the Mattole basin during the years 1991-1999. Surveyed lengths of stream varied but length of survey did correlate with size of stream. Two methods of stream order are used to arrange the streams from top (higher order; large) to bottom (lower order; small), but stream order is an imprecise index of stream size.
