Topic	Fish: Estuary Juvenile Steelhead Catch Length by Month 1996

 

Caption:  This Chart shows the size of individual juvenile steelhead caught using a beach seine from July through November 1996 in the Russian River estuary at four stations. Note that the size of fish captured increased during the season (MSC, 1997). This could be due to growth of fish in the estuary, but could also result from larger steelhead juveniles moving downstream into the estuary preparing for ocean entry. Data collected by Merritt Smith Consulting (1997) on behalf of Sonoma County. See InfoLinks for more information.
