Sediment: Gravel Permeability from Ramon Creek 2000 |
|
Caption: The above chart illustrates that mean gravel permeability in the year 2000 in Ramon Creek was highly variable between tail-out sites, but all eight tail-outs studied showed low permeabilities leading to low predicted survival indices. Even the best tail-out sites have predicted survival indices of less than 33%. High gravel permeability indicates favorable conditions for incubating salmon eggs and alevins. The red markers display predicted values for percent egg-to-fry survival. This calculated index for survival has had limited testing. See Info Links for more information.
